Allroundtalent und Kosmopolit Sir Peter Ustinov war überall in der Welt zu Hause. Über sich selbst erzählte er stolz: "I was conceived in St Petersburg [...] and I was born in London, Christened in Schwäbisch Gmünd near Stuttgart, you can see that I did a lot pre-natal travelling and immediately post-natal, too.” Wie es zur Taufe in Schwäbisch Gmünd kam, beschreibt er in seiner Autobiografie "Dear Me" (1977).
